Masha Wysocka is a Belgian-Spanish multidisciplinary artist. She focuses on stories from the peripheries, bringing both history and science to the forefront of her artistic practice. Having lived in several countries, Masha developed a strong appreciation for languages and became a dedicated polyglot, actively engaging with a diverse array of languages, from Yiddish to Esperanto.
She holds a Master's degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication, which is part of the University of the Arts London. Additionally, she graduated from Sciences Po Strasbourg and earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Strasbourg.
She has received several prestigious awards, including the Mead Fellowship from the University of the Arts London. She has also won various scholarships, such as the 2023 PhMuseum Photography Grant - Residency Bursary at Landskrona Foto. In 2025, she was awarded an artistic research grant from the Belgian Ministry of Culture - Wallonie-Bruxelles. Moreover, she has participated in artist-in-residence programs in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine.
Her work has been exhibited in multiple countries, including France, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the UK. Notably, her project "Truth is Stranger than Fiction" was featured at the Circulation(s) Festival in 2024 and at the Boutographies Festival in 2025.
Her artwork is included in the University of Alicante Museum's collection in Spain.
